Emma BearmanEmma is the Chief of Play at Cultivate, developing and producing creative projects and helping clients to develop relationships and communities. Emma has variously worked to create a buzz at launches for heritage buildings, community hubs, galleries, museums, and cultural organisations, helping companies utilise collaborative technologies and social media to engage and connect with individuals and develop communities.

Emma is currently operating four public-facing projects – The Culture VultureCultural ConversationsPlayful Leeds and her most recent initiative is March of the Robots, an upcoming year-round adventure for Leeds, celebrating our fascination with robot culture.

Shanaz Gulzar & Steve Manthorp

Steve Manthorp & Shanaz GulzarArtists Shanaz Gulzar and Steve Manthorp have shared an artistic co-practice as ADEPT since 2004.

Both artists have established solo practices which inform and enhance their collaborative work.

Shanaz is a digital and installation artist and stage designer, working across disciplines to make innovative and challenging interventions go to this site.  Steve is an artist, curator and an innovator in digital practice.

Through their early work together, ADEPT developed a conceptual and imaginative approach that is responsive to site, social and historical context.  From early gallery-based work, ADEPT have progressed to large scale public video projections, installations and performative works.

Erinma Ochu

Erinma OchuErinma Ochu is passionate about mass collaboration, mass participation and citizen-led social innovation.

With a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellowship, Erinma has been exploring the cultural value of citizen science and innovative ways the public can participate in biomedical research.

Erinma’s recent citizen science and open data collaborations include HookedEveryday Growing Cultures and Turing’s Sunflowers.

Trained originally as a neuroscientist, Erinma’s career spans the film, TV and cultural sector. Recent citizen-led initiatives including: Manchester Beacon and Catalyst, exploring how technology can support citizen-led social innovation.

Erinma blogs about everyoneandeverything and seasonal food. As co-founder of creative social enterprise, Squirrel Nation, she makes movies to imagine alternative futures, the latest is also the subject of her talk for TEDxCity2.0, Everyday Growing Futures.

Shane Mitchell

Prior to that, Shane led initiatives globally for Cisco’s Connected Urban Development program, a commitment Cisco provided to the Clinton Global Initiative, aimed at developing innovative ICT & Broadband solutions in large metropolitan areas to stimulate CO2 emissions reductions what are paystubs.

Shane recently spoke at the Smart Towns 2013 conference in Halifax, exploring connected towns, collaborative spaces and some of the innovative regeneration initiatives across Britains coastal communities.
